Following the announcement of Philip's retirement, WPI colleagues and friends launched an effort to establish the Philip Clay Endowed Scholarship in his honor. Scholarship support is deeply aligned with Philip’s North Star: keeping students at the center. Scholarships remove financial barriers to grant motivated students access to all that a WPI experience offers—inside and outside the classroom.
This support also fosters a strong sense of belonging and community at WPI, communicating to our students that there are generous people in their corner who believe in them. By contributing to an endowed scholarship in Philip’s name, you ensure that Philip’s warmth, care, and generosity will extend to WPI students for generations to come.
