In our seven-week terms, students meet with faculty four or more times per week. These frequent interactions are proven to be valuable and effective. They also require a low student to faculty ratio.

This funding builds on the excellence of our current programs and helps establish new ones, such as the recently launched programs in AI, financial technology, global health, and explosion protection engineering.

This keeps WPI on the cutting-edge and prepares our students for the careers of the future.

Of the AI masters program, Dr. Jean King, Peterson Family Dean of WPI’s School of Arts & Sciences, shares:

98% of our undergraduate students receive grant aid, whether need- or merit-based, with an average award of $35,570. When they graduate, our students are equipped with highly valued and in-demand skillsets.

Take our robotics grads, for instance.

The Boston Globe writes, “In interview after interview, local robotics company executives brought up the importance of WPI as a supplier of talented robotics engineers.

‘It's a fantastic school with great kids,’ Symbotic chief executive Michael Loparco said. ‘We'd love to have as many of their kids as we can.’"
