Gifts to Women's Basketball contribute to...
From Coach Cherise Galasso:
Every day we work hard to honor the legacy our alumni and families helped build and to continue to provide that championship student-athlete experience for future generations to come. We need your help to make this a reality. We are hoping to plan a team trip and create more engagement opportunities for our alums and our current team members. We are also hoping to partner with a performance specialist to support our players’ well-being in the areas of mental health, nutrition, and recovery.
National recruitment opportunities are paramount these days to stay competitive. We need support for our coaching staff to attend large-scale events like our competitors. This will make a huge difference in the reach we have in recruiting top-tier student-athletes in an ultra-challenging landscape. Your gift will make an immediate impact on our players’ experiences as well as help our program remain competitive for years to come.
From Student-Athlete Alice Kelly '24, MS'25:
"Being a part of WPI WBB has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I have learned so much more than just basketball. I've learned critical life skills I will always carry with me and built resilience in overcoming 'hard things' by stacking small wins daily. I’ve gained confidence in myself as a leader, and I found my best friends.
This tight-knit community is always looking out for us. From the moment I arrived on campus, I felt embraced by the WBB family—a bond that connects not only my current teammates but also alumni, parents, and supporters of our program. This network has consistently supported our team, providing us with numerous opportunities. Their generous donations have enabled us to have many meaningful experiences."
From Stacey Waite MacPhetres and Scott MacPhetres P’26
"The women’s basketball team has given our daughter, a current junior on the women’s basketball team, her people at WPI. We know that these will be lifelong connections for her and we love supporting the team.”
