Gifts to Softball contribute to...
From Coach Heather Ross:
It is our goal each year to provide the best overall experience for our student-athletes that cultivates leadership, confidence, competitiveness, and growth.
This year, we are looking to increase the visibility of WPI Softball by getting new windscreens, and creating banners with past NEWMAC Championships, Regional and Super Regional Appearances, and individual accolades. When you walk onto the rooftop, you will feel the presence that WPI Softball exudes! This will help create a championship atmosphere and feel of home for our student-athletes.
We hope to have annual workshops with professionals that enhance education on sports nutrition, leadership, and sports psychology to name a few. The outside workshops are crucial to the overall development and well-being of our student-athletes.
Your support for our program means so much to our team and players each year. Each of our players knows how your support directly impacts their experience. I cannot thank you enough for assisting me in giving our team what they truly deserve.
From Student-Athlete Destiny Lum '26:
"Without our supporters, whether that be family, alumni, or others from the greater WPI community, we would not be able to continue the tradition of success that WPI Softball upholds on the field, and more importantly off it.
Your support creates opportunities for growth with speakers/workshops on topics like leadership, nutrition, and mental performance, and provides necessary equipment and technology, to allow us to chase championships and compete against some of the toughest D3 competitors in the country. Near or far, no matter where you are, your presence is always felt and forever valued."
From Alumni Athlete Alex Sheehan '24:
“I can’t imagine my time at WPI without WPI softball; the program gave me lifelong friends, invaluable life lessons, and skills that have immediately been translated into my personal and professional life. Being a part of the WPI Softball Program is more than just a physical game on the field, and you truly see those impacts once you begin your life outside of WPI.
The continued support for the program from fellow alumni, parents, friends, and the wider WPI community means the world to all of us. It upholds the rich tradition of WPI Softball, which is full of generosity and support. See you on the Rooftop this spring, and go Goats!”
