Gifts to Rowing contribute to...
From Coaches Larry Noble and Jason Steele:
Your donations will once again help fund the Florida Spring break trip. The week we spend in Cocoa Beach is the most important week of the year from a training perspective. It is also during this week that we become a team.
The student-athletes are immersed in rowing without the complications of school and the daily distractions of life. They live, row, and eat together, getting to know each other and experiencing the fun and challenges of a training camp. The ongoing generosity of our alumni and supporters has been a critical part of maintaining a consistent level of athlete experience and competitiveness for this program. Thank you for your support!
From the Student-Athletes:
Jules Prisco ’24, MS’25- “Rowing at the collegiate level has not only taught me the importance of organization and time management, but also how to be a reliable and accountable teammate. Each decision we make in the boat impacts the team as a whole. I’m extremely grateful for how my experiences with WPI rowing have shaped my academic and personal growth here, and I owe a lot of my success to this team.”
Akhi Yarlagadda ’25, co-captain ’24- ‘25- “Being part of an athletic team has been integral to my journey—fostering camaraderie, resilience, and a sense of belonging that motivates me to excel. Every time I compete, I know I’m representing our school and carrying the pride of the entire community with me.
Knowing that our community of alumni, parents, and friends support us through donations is humbling; it inspires me to work harder, and to honor the faith others have placed in us. Thank you for your continued encouragement—it means the world to me and my teammates.”
From the Alumni Athletes:
Scott Cazier ‘17- "Rowing is a sport that involves incredible amounts of repetition, a constant pursuit of perfect motion that requires hours of focus and dedication. WPI rowers count on the generosity of those who've come before them and understand those needs. Without those contributions, this meaningful pursuit would not be possible. Every athlete is aware of that fact as they hoist boats or grip the oars glittering with the names of those who care about our success on and off the water."
Emily Adams '22- "I’m so thankful to have rowed at the highest level of DIII Rowing; to have won a National Championship was a once in a lifetime opportunity that defined my WPI experience. I benefited from the support of alumni whose donations ensured the team had top-of-the-line equipment, training trips to Cocoa Beach, and the opportunity to compete at the Women’s Henley. I’m proud to be an alumnus of WPI Women’s Rowing and look forward to supporting current athletes to have the same great experience that I did!"
