We allocate funds based on the different systems and objectives of our robot. Our budget breakdown is as follows:

Robot Development: $10,000

• $1,500 to improve our navigation system
• $2,000 to improve locomotion
• $3,500 for our excavation system
• $1,250 for berm construction
• $1,000 for verification and testing
• $750 for our cost margin/contingency

Travel Cost: 

• $5,000 Travel for 9 people to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida 

We will prioritize the most critical systems first- navigation, locomotion, and excavation. It is our hope that crowdfunding will cover the Robot Development costs and we will seek outside funding to cover the remaining travel costs. 

Raising this full amount will ensure we can build the most competitive robot possible and give our team the best chance at success. Any funds raised in excess of this year's needs, will roll over to support next year's Lunabotics team.
